After reading "Everest" by Erik Weihenmayer, I believe the story encompasses a variety of inspirational tones. As readers, we are encouraged to believe in ourselves and accomplish our dreams, no matter what stands in our way. This essay also shows us that success is based on each individual's achievements and cannot be measured by society. Overall, the general mood of this essay inspires us to consider the fact that the impossible really is possible.

Snow Day

There's been talk about a big snow storm coming, and it's finally here! I am so glad, because I love having snow for Christmas. It really just gets me in the Christmas spirit! :) Anyway, I found out last night that we were not going to have school today, so I thought I would sleep in. However, I am a morning person, so I rarely sleep any later than 7:00am. I woke up at 5:00 this morning and eventually decided to be productive. I am going to spend the morning getting caught up on grading, and I will run to my mom's house to bake this afternoon.
